Meet Chulo 🩵
Born: July 27, 2013
A little gentleman with a big snore and a love for the simple things in life.
Chulo's life has taken a few unexpected turns. He spent his early years with his original owner, who sadly passed away. After that, he went to live with someone who later had to travel back and forth to Venezuela to care for their seriously ill mother. During this time, Chulo was left in the care of other people who unfortunately did not give him the care and attention he needed.
When I came across a post looking for a new home for him on my birthday, I knew I wanted to help. The very next day, Chulo came to live with me at Demi&RescueFriends.
When Chulo arrived, I made sure he received a thorough veterinary check, including extensive blood tests. Thankfully, his results were very good for his age. He was able to have his teeth cleaned, and since he was already under anaesthesia, we also had him neutered during the same procedure.
Today, Chulo enjoys a much quieter life, just the way he likes it.
He is a true little old man, and his favourite hobby is sleeping. And when I say sleeping, I mean sleeping loudly — Chulo snores like there's no tomorrow!
He eats soft food only, as crunchy kibble is no longer for him. When he's hungry, he makes sure to let me know. A few times a day, he enjoys a little stroll around the garden, and one of his favourite things is going for a car ride.
Chulo also visits the groomer several times a year because his hair keeps growing and needs regular maintenance.
He doesn't ask for much. A comfortable place to sleep, soft meals, a little walk around the garden and the occasional car ride make him a happy little gentleman.
Chulo is enjoying his well-deserved retirement, filled with gentle care, cosy naps and all the little things that make him happy. 🩵
